LOUIS XVIII. L.A.S., Mittau September 23, 1799, to M. Willot; half-page in-4 (window mount). He thanks his correspondent for his sentiments: "I am likewise aware of your zeal and your talents, I count on them with confidence and I am working on ways to make them more and more useful to the State. But until I can place you in the position where you can best serve me, there are other services you can render me, and for which I am also counting on you"; his agency will send him the details.
