Female bust in pink sandstone, medieval India, Madhya Pradesh, 10th - 12th century Smiling face, eyes closed under high superciliary arches and ears with elongated lobes adorned with large earrings. The hair is elegantly coiffed at the top of the forehead and adorned with flowers, then forms a wide bun at the top of the head. She wears necklaces around her neck, one falling between her breasts. An urna adorns the forehead. Height: 22 cm
