Two snuffboxes, one in silver, the other in vermeil and malachite, Sino-Tibetan and Chinese work, 19th - 20th century The silver-cast snuffbox is decorated with a lotus flower in turquoise and coral inlay on one side and a mythical animal above the waves on the other. The neck is flanked by two animal-head handles supporting a mobile ring. The stopper is inlaid with turquoise. The vermeil snuffbox is decorated with a carved, openwork malachite plaque depicting a woman among flowers on each side. The small sides, oval neck, foot and en suite stopper are worked in filigree and embellished with turquoise and coral cabochons. Total height: 7.8 and 8 cm; gross weight: 77 g
