Snuffbox in translucent amethyst with natural inclusions, China, 1800-1860 Quadrangular in shape, the bottle is undecorated, except for the natural frost-like inclusions in the stone. The recess is of high quality, as it is perfectly centered in relation to the sides of the snuffbox, giving the inner receptacle the shape of a snuffbox.
