Third edition, partly original, of this work on Brittany, which sheds light on the history and legends of pardons, festivals celebrated on fixed dates in consecrated places to honor the patron saint, and which constitute one of the foundations of Breton religious and social life. The original was published in 1894. This edition is strictly based on that one, with the addition of the pardon of Saint-Jean-du-Doigt and the pardon of the fire. The other pardons are: "Saint-Yves, le pardon des pauvres, Rumengol, le pardon des chanteurs, la troménie de Saint-Ronan, le pardon de la montagne, Saint-Anne de la Palude, le pardon de la mer".
