Model 1837 hunter's percussion rifle. Round, thunderbolt barrel stamped, stamped 4 and dated 1839 with 250 m rise. Breechblock stamped "150M". Poncharra-style lock marked "Mre Rle de Châtellerault", with flat body and round-bodied hammer. Brass fittings uniformly stamped "M" under the crown. Iron counterplate and trigger guard tail stamped en suite. Walnut stock (small crack at front of lock) with stamp dated June 1840 and hallmarks. Iron ramrod with strong head.
