King's corps grade flintlock rifle, 2nd model. Round barrel with thunderbolt sides. Lock signed "Manuf Royale de Versailles" with drum and stamped "T". Hallmarked brass fittings ("H") and iron ramrod. Walnut stock with later thumbpiece bearing the arms of France, marked "Garde du corps du roi". Barrel length: 103 cm - Overall length: 142 cm A.B.E. Presented with a bayonet with medial ferrule and triangular blade. In its leather scabbard with brass fittings and bleached buffalo gusset. Length: 53 cm A.B.E.
