Type 1777 officer's rifle. Round barrel, with thunder-flat, engraved with foliage, a trophy and "twisted barrel". St Etienne hallmarked lock, signed "G. Girard & Compagnie" and footed hammer, with flat body, engraved with flowers, volatile and rocaille. Iron fittings with chased fleur-de-lys trigger guard. Walnut stock. Iron ramrod with flared head.
