Light cavalry officer's saber. Basane-covered handle with filigree. Brass mounting. Lion head pommel. Single-branch hilt with shuttle-shaped auricle (curved quillon, broken but present). Fine German curved blade engraved on the heel with gold drum and moon. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with brass fittings and splints. Asymmetrical iron sting. E.M. (the blade does not fully fit into the scabbard). Early 19th century. Provenance: Former Jarlier collection.
