Paul VALÉRY (1871-1945). L.A.S., Paris January 24, 1931, to a "dear colleague"; half-page in-4. Regrets not being able to "attend the presentation of David Golder" [Julien Duvivier's film based on Irène Némirovsky's novel, with Harry Baur in the title role], all his evenings being taken during the week. Enclosed is a P.A.S. from Henri Troyat about Henri Corbière's investigation (1960).
