Georges PITOËFF (1884-1939). L.A.S., Geneva September 8 [1920], to Édouard Schneider; 1 page and a half in-4. He will not be able to go to Paris in January or February, as he cannot leave Geneva: "I have the entire company and staff of my theater engaged until June 1, and I cannot let them play without me for such a long time. In general, I have to give up going to Paris or anywhere else to play, either alone or with Mme Pitoeff. I can only go with all my actors. I had to make a choice - either to have a theater in Geneva and go on tour, or to go and play wherever I'm asked, and give up my business here"... He will be happy to perform one day in a play by his correspondent.
