Please accept the tribute I owe you in particular, Monsieur, and believe that I would have hastened to your home to offer it to you, if I were not about to get in the car for a journey of 15 days. On my return I shall hasten to fulfill this duty, and it will be another opportunity for me to show you all the esteem I have conceived for your personal character, and the desire I have to cultivate an acquaintance as honorable as yours"...
