JACQUES & DANI RUELLAND (1926-2008) & (1933-2010)
Jacques Ruelland and Dani, née Danielle Dupin, met in Paris and joined forces in both life and ceramic creation. Dani's approach to materials and volumes was combined with Jacques' approach to color in this shared medium. Initially influenced by Vallauris, they gradually asserted their style. Their distinctive production is characterized by asymmetrical shapes, notably off-center collars, and brilliant glazes in bright, vivid colors. Each piece is individually modeled. In the 1960s, their palette evolved towards softer, pastel tones, applied in thin layers of enamel.
