Surface firing bubbles, a very slight firing crack at the base of the interior.

ATELIER MADOURA - SUZANNE DOULY-RAMIÉ (1905-1974) & GEORGES RAMIÉ (1901-1976)
Atelier Madoura, founded in 1938 by the Ramié couple, played an essential role in the revival of the Vallaurian tradition, and more generally of post-war ceramics. Driven by her sensitivity and talent for design, Suzanne Ramié reinvented popular ceramic forms in pieces with bold, sculptural volumes, sublimated by her use of refined glazes. This daring creativity soon attracted great artists, including the unmissable Pablo Picasso. Their twenty-five-year collaboration would unquestionably shape and renew the ceramic language for their contemporaries and for generations to come.
