CLAIRE LINDNER (B. 1982) A major figure in contemporary ceramics, Claire Lindner trained at the École supérieure des arts décoratifs in Strasbourg, then in London, before settling in Languedoc-Roussillon. Her highly recognizable work is characterized by the use of clay pellets in her sculptures, with their supple, organic, knotted and twisted forms, inspired by the movements and abundance of living things. This plastic aspect is complemented by the systematic use of pastel colors and the distinctive grain of his surfaces.
