ROGER COLLET (1933-2008)
Swiss-born Roger Collet attended the Cloutier brothers' workshop in Paris, before moving to Vallauris, where he worked for Jean River, Juliette Derel and Roger Capron, among others. Building on this experience, he opened his own workshop in 1966, turning out high-quality pieces, initially decorated by his wife Marie-France Bartolo. He later turned his attention to enamels, creating pieces with fluid, balanced lines, proof of his mastery of the gesture, rendered in muted, blue-green tones - like his poetic Oiseaux.
