ÉRIC ASTOUL (BORN 1954)
Éric Astoul's work is inspired by his childhood in the South of France, his many travels and the creative environment of La Borne, where he set up his studio in 1982. His work is marked by the reinterpretation of traditional ceramic forms, which he gradually removes from their proper functions, approaching them in the manner of a sculptor. Constantly evolving, his plastic research is nourished by his use of different shaping and firing techniques.
