ALLIX (MICHEL ALEXANDROV, KNOWN AS) (1910-?)
Born in the Ukraine and trained at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Michel Alexandrov, known as Allix, initially set his sights on painting. His interest in ceramics coincided with his move to Vallauris in 1945. Joining the local pottery community, he collaborated with the Triptyque artists, firing their work. At the same time, while continuing his work as a painter, he devoted himself to a personal production of utilitarian and decorative pieces, with pictorial and geometric motifs rendered in bright colors.
