The first seven in-8° volumes (or the six in-18), published from 1790 to 1792, which contain the history of the Constituante, are generally attributed to the bookseller Clavelin and to François-Marie de Kerverseau, who died in 1825 and is described by Barbier as "a prisoner of war in London (under the Empire?). According to Barbier, volumes VIII and IX in-8, relating to the events of 1792, are by CL.-F. Beaulieu, volumes X-XV by V. Lombard, de Langres and D. Leriguet, and volumes XVI-XVIII (Bonaparte's campaigns in Italy and Egypt) by Caignard de Mailly. The biographer Didot also mentions the collaboration of Charles Berthot (1758-1832), sub-prefect of Langres from 1800 to 1824". The present set includes the first 12 volumes (out of 19), published in 1792 by Garnery for volumes 1 to 6, then by Bidault from 1797 to 1798 for volumes 7 to 12. Fresh interiors.
