[WALLET]. Wallet in morocco (late 18th/early 19th century). Superb wallet in long-grained cherry morocco decorated with a frame of gilded friezes, fillets and dotted lines, two gilded scales of justice on the front, and a lictor beam surmounted by a gilded Phrygian cap on the back. Fitted with a metal snap clasp, it contains three gusseted pockets lined with green silk, two of which are lined with marbled paper. Size: 16.5x9 cm and 32x16.5 cm when unfolded. Leather slightly cracked, some browning, one gusset detached over 3 cm. Very rare period item, preserved in fine condition.
