An important monograph devoted to the Hôtel de Beauharnais, a masterpiece of the Empire style, now the headquarters of the German Embassy in Paris. It includes 80 plates of black-and-white photographs covering virtually all elements of the Embassy's architecture, furniture and interior decoration. The plates are preceded by an introduction presenting a historical and architectural study of the hotel, and a descriptive table of the plates.
