Line cavalry saber, An XI model. Brass mounting. Four-pronged guard, three of which are bolted and stamped with the Versailles hallmark. Leather handle with brass filigree and later ferrule. Flat-backed straight blade, double hollow sides, point in line with the 96.5 cm back, stamped with a lictor beam and "AP". Two-bracelet iron scabbard with matching serial number on hilt. Length: 116 cm A.B.E. (cracked top).
