Grenadier volunteer officer's saber known as Petit Montmorency. Wooden handle covered with copper lamé (later). Brass mounting. Helmeted pommel. Guard with one main branch and two secondary branches holding a grenade. Half plate with openwork. Curved blade engraved in thirds with blue and gold remnants, with gutter and counter-edge.
