Imperial Guard infantry non-commissioned officer's saber, model 1854. Horn handle with filigree remnants. Stamped brass mounting. Two-point guard. Flat-backed curved blade marked "Mre Impale de Chatt 7bre 1861 S.O. d'Infrie de la Garde Mle 1854", with hollow sides. Leather scabbard with three brass fittings, two of which are hallmarked. Worn fittings and broken leather. Length: 91 cm A.B.E. Second Empire period.
