Two pages from a muraqqa album, Iran, late Safavid period, dated 1723 and one signed Ahmad al-Nayrizi Section of a two-page muraqqa album, bound together, in purple card stock, each containing a calligraphy of 7 lines of naskhi Arabic in black ink in gold-backed reserves separated by cartouches with gilded scrolls. The right-hand page is dated Jumada al-Thani 1135 H / March 1723, the left-hand page is dated 1136 H / 1723 and signed Ahmad al-Nayrizi. Each page is encircled by two gilded floral borders on an orange and green background. Dim. calligraphies: 19 x 10 and 20.6 x 12.6 cm; page: 29.6 x 19.4 cm Some stains, wear and small folds.
