The man is richly dressed in a gold-woven cloak with a fur collar, wearing a turban, holding a fruit in his left hand and crossing his right leg over his knee. The woman, her head covered with an orange floral veil, also holds a fruit in her right hand. A turkey stands beside them at the foot of the chair. Lower left, gold inscription giving the name Mohammad ibn Khodadad and the date 1199 H / 1789.
