Nicolas-Toussaint Charlet (1792-1845) The merchant of lithographic drawings. 1818-1819. Lithograph (from the presses of F. Delpech - incunabulum of lithography). [345x255mm]. La Combe 85; I.F.F. 66. Fine proof on white vellum, carefully washed, trimmed flush with the title in the tablet, with small restoration to the left of the word "Le". Slight marginal dusting. Good margins on three sides. The print dealer's store shows the last plates for sale. We recognize a horse signed Carle Vernet, a goose game and Napoleonic subjects that arouse the interest of the two soldiers. The shop is reminiscent of Delpech's own shop at 3 quai Voltaire, which Carle Vernet lithographed at the same time, in 1818.
