First edition of 343 copies of this collection of 3 poems by Pierre Reverdy, each printed in a different color (green, orange and blue). It is illustrated with 5 unpublished drawings by Henri MATISSE (1869-1954), reproduced in black. The author and the artist expressed their disapproval of this edition printed by François Bernouard. Reverdy asked his friend Paul Birault to produce a corrected version in black. This reprint, limited to just 105 copies, was completed on December 30, 1918, just a few days after Bernouard's, and was the "only one approved" by the author. One of 300 copies on Arches laid paper, very well preserved.
