Abel Guérineau (1841-1925) Funerary steles Three drawings, ink and watercolor on paper. - One depicts a stone stele with, at top right, the inscription 東京市谷石碑 - Tōkyō ichigaya sekishi - "Stone monument to Ichigaya". Bottom right, the inscription "To Ichigaya Tokio (Japan)" and red seal of the artist, and bottom left, another seal of the artist. 32.5 x 22.1 cm. - The second depicts a funeral lantern titled at top right 駒込 - Komagome. Bottom right, an artist's seal in red and bottom left, the inscription "Komagomé (Tokio) 26 III/76" and an artist's seal in black. On the passe-partout, an ink inscription: "Lanterne funéraire" 34 x 24.2 cm. - The third depicts a bronze and stone stele titled at top right 池上銅墓 - Ikegami dōbo - "Copper burial at Ikagami". Bottom right, the inscription "Ikégami 30 Jan. 1880", followed by an initials. Bottom left, artist's seal. 33.5 x 26 cm
