Traces of loose passe-partout. - The watercolor depicts a landscape with buildings protected by surrounding walls where the British Legation in Tokyo is located. At top right, it is titled 東京英国公使館 Tōkyō - Igirisu kōshikan - "British Legation in Tokyo". At bottom, a seal by the artist. Bottom left, the inscription "The British Legation in Tokio".
