Born in Vallauris in 1929, Marius Bessone was immersed in the world of ceramics from an early age, opening a workshop with his wife Huguette in 1954. Their production began with utilitarian ceramics enriched with refined incisions, cloisonné and chromatic geometric decorations on neutral backgrounds, then evolved towards a personal technique of crystallizing glazes with bubbled effects, which ensured their success and recognition among enthusiasts, collectors and renowned institutions.
