Paris municipal guard sword. Chagrin-covered sword with double filigree. Brass mounting, melon pommel. Single-branch guard with stamped quillon. Cockerel keyboard with banner marked "Garde municipale de Paris, 29 juillet 1830". Middle-edged blade dated January 1831, by Klingenthal, and engraved "Garde municipale de Paris, 29 juillet 1830". Leather scabbard (broken at the bottom), with two brass fittings. Iron ball stinger. Length: 89.5 cm A.B.E. (wear). July Monarchy period (1830-1848).
