Maksymilian Antoni PIOTROWSKI (1813-1875) Portrait of a family Graphite. Signed at bottom. 29.5 x 37.5 cm Two drawings related to ours can be found in a sketchbook held by the National Museum in Poznań: one depicts a lute (?) and the other a harpsichord, similar to ours. The second drawing also shows two hats, which can be seen to the right of our composition. Our thanks to Barbara Chojnacka for her help. An exhibition devoted to Piotrowski's work is being prepared at the Leon Wyczółkowski Museum in Bydgoszcz. [sztuka polska, polish art]
