DADA.
Excursions & visites dada.
[Paris, 1921]. - Leaflet in-4, 314 x 268.
"Prospectus for the first Dada excursion and visit to the church of Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre, which was scheduled for April 14, 1921 but never took place.
"In order to escape even more completely from anything remotely reminiscent of the art so reviled by dada, "Excursions and Visits" are planned in the field of events. The first visit is scheduled for April 14, 1921, at 3 a.m. The chosen site was Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre, an abandoned church, little-known at the time, surrounded by a sort of wasteland enclosed by palisades. It wasn't a question of finding the graves of Julien and Marguerite de Ravalet, the brother and sister decapitated with axes, the exalted victims of their incestuous love affair. No, for Dada it was an absurd rendezvous, akin to an instructive stroll, with a guide [...] The leaflet foresees future visits: Musée du Louvre, Buttes-Chaumont,... [...] These visits had no future" (Hugnet, "Dictionnaire du dadaïsme", pp. 125-126).
Very well preserved copy, folded. Small tears at folds, not serious."
