Stock, 1881. - In-4, red morocco, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, ornate ribbed spine, dark green morocco lining, framed with gilt filets and roulette, and inside a Renaissance decoration consisting of an oval mosaic frame in red, black and fawn morocco, surrounded by gilt scrolls and azure irons, double endpapers, gilt head, untrimmed (H. Prat fils). First edition of this thesis presented by Dr. Pierre Petit, a native of Gisors, to the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Lyon, and presented publicly on March 8, 1881 to obtain the degree of Doctor of Medicine. It is illustrated with a plate showing 4 figures. Enriched with a signed autograph letter from the author to his cousin Jean Bonnardel, in a luxurious lined and mosaic binding, signed H. Prat fils, in extremely rare condition. Minor rubbing to the spines.
