[BIBLE] [Biblia cum concordantiis veteris novi testamenti...] Lyon: Jacques Sacon for Anton Koberger, May 10, 1518. - In-folio, CCCXVII (317) ff. Baudrier, XII, p. 347. Rare edition of the Bible, the fifth printed by Jacques Sacon in Lyon for Anton Koberger, the famous publisher of the "Chroniques de Nuremberg", after those of 1512, 1513, 1515 and 1516.
It is illustrated with over 130 woodcuts, including one half-page and one full-page engraving, taken, according to Baudrier, from "the German and archaic suites used in the earlier Bibles". Copy in 17th-century binding. The then owner decided to keep only the text of the Bible, without the 14 introductory leaves comprising the title frontispiece, table, epistle and prologue, nor the last 26 leaves comprising the interpretation of Hebrew names. Restoration and wear to the binding. The first leaf has been restored and is missing several times, both the text and the engraving on the verso. The first six leaves are stained and scribbled in ink in the lower margin. There is also light dampening throughout the volume. Some perforations with damage to the text and discreet restorations to the last few leaves. Provenance: Antoine de Sainte Collombe, with this late 16th-century handwritten note on verso of folio CCLXVII: "Jane de Saincte Collombe. Bonne fille. To Monsieur Antoine de Saincte C[o]ollombe. Jane de Pourbon. Mauvese fille". - P. Lamerat, with his name in ink followed by the date 1701 and an ex-dono from the Comte de Saint Maures: "Ex dono Illustrissimi domini Comitis St Maures. - Henri Moreau, rector of Saint-Étienne de Mâcon, with bookplate "Henricus Moreau Sancti Stephani Matisconensis Rector". - Bibliothèque de l'archirpètre, with stamps on first lining and first leaf. - L. J. Vitteault, curé de Givry, with bookplate. - Chantal Georges Bouchey, with bookplate.
