Exceptional Ballon Monté "Le Colonel Charras", entrusted fold, Tours date stamp on n°37 "20c Siège de Paris". On verso, "Ballon Monté au Chateau de Mauvers par Verdun sur Garonne Madame le Juge". This is probably the smallest known format for a Ballon Monté! The text is complete with header and signature, and a certificate from Roger Calves attests to this description. Two other very small-format Ballon Montés are enclosed: "Les Etats Unis" and "Le non dénommé n°1".
