Kashkûl alms bowl, Iran qâjâr, 19th century, signed Carved coco de mer bowl with champlevé and engraved decoration. On the top, a floral composition unfurled around an epigraphic cartouche and encircled by a line of Persian inscriptions. The opening is underlined by a wavy plant stem, while the sides are adorned with a frieze of Persian epigraphic cartouches set against a floral background and underlined by a frieze of lambrequins.
