Collection of four belts, Ottoman Balkans, late 19th century Four belts consisting of a textile band (purple, orange, garnet and pink cotton satin) trimmed with filigreed metal plates in the shape of esses, the central plate multi-lobed and sometimes gilded. The wide, oblong buckle is made of several superimposed plates, filigree and incorporating small metal pearls and colored cabochons. All are marked with a rosette in the center, and three are highlighted with tassels.
