Jacques PRÉVERT (1900-1977). Autograph poem signed, [1965]; 1 large folio page (42 x 27cm). This poem served as a preface to the catalog of the exhibition by painter Alberto Fabra (1920-2011) at the Galerie Motte, rue Bonaparte, in March 1965. It was collected in Soleil de nuit (1980). The poem has 28 lines. The manuscript, drawn in black ink with a thick pen, shows a few erasures and corrections. "Ideas are in the air. In the abstract air, and painters of ideas, their paintings are like drops of water [...]. An oasis does not undo the desert but it quenches its thirst."
