*Raymond RADIGUET. Vacation homework. Images by Irène Lagut. Paris, À La Sirène, 1921; in-8 square br. First edition printed at 198 proofs (or rather 248). One of 150 justified [or 200] on Corvol laid paper (Fouché, 90). Not numbered, like the BnF and others. Three full-page illustrations by Irène Lagut. In the Alphabet, with the letter M for Mallarmé, a delightful pastiche of the poet's famous quatrains. Autograph letter signed "to Pierre de Massot / in sympathy and friendship / Raymond Radiguet". Pierre de Massot de Lafond (1900-1969), writer and critic, was a friend of Cocteau, to whom the collection is dedicated, of Max Jacob and André Gide, for whom he was secretary for a time, and of many other Dadaist and Surrealist writers and artists. His works perpetuate the memory of Erik Satie, whom he met through his friend Picabia, to whom he dedicated a monograph. Rare letter from the young Radiguet. Perfect as new (the green of the cover is often faded).
