King's bodyguard flintlock pistol model 1816, 2nd model. Round barrel with thundered sides, stamped "DT, 13e Lon". Lock engraved "Mre Royale de Versailles". Brass bassoon. Round-bodied hound. Cut-out brass fittings. Counterplate marked "C. Noailles". Oval pommel with three fleur-de-lys. Mouthpiece stamped N°156. Walnut stock. Iron ramrod. Restoration period. A.B.E. (small wood fracture at rear of lock). This pistol later served in the 13th Legion of the National Guard (Paris National Guard) under the July Monarchy.
