Oriental-style light cavalry officer's saber. Handle with ivory plates and two rosettes. Iron mounting. Guard with radiating auricles and two long, curved, inverted quillons ending in acorns. Beautifully engraved and gilded round-backed blade, decorated with trophies of arms, foliage and foliate scrolls. Steel scabbard with two straps. Circa 1830-1850. B.E.
