Very fine state proof on chine volant, in four colors, combination of soft green, water green, blue and pink stones, without the brown stone coloring the dress of the seated woman and her reflection, with the artist's monogram in blue in the left background wall (erased in the final state), signed in pencil, annotated at foot by H. M. Petiet "Etat - avant le corsage". Some heavy marginal foxing. Long, thin oblique crease in lower margin. Full margins. In its final state, this subject appeared in the Album d'estampes originales de la galerie Vollard (1897) and was printed in an edition of 100 proofs.
