Aimé PALLIÈRE, L'âme juive et Dieu. Paris, Éditions de l'ULI, s.d. [1936].
In-8, bound in modern full paper. Cover page preserved and restored in margin.

Aimé Pallière (1868-1949) was an extraordinary character. A student of Rabbi Benamozegh, rather than convert to Judaism, he decided to become a noahide, i.e. to apply the seven laws which, according to Judaism, apply to all mankind. He helped found the Union Libérale Israélite and taught at the Copernic synagogue.
In this book, Pallière is not concerned with the idea of God. On the contrary, he declares:
"If it's a question of talking about the idea of God, I declare myself incapable of doing so, because God is not an idea for me, but the supreme Reality, more real than all the phenomena of the world of appearances.
