[HEBRAIC BIBLE] [Biblia hebraica cum notis]. Paris: Robert Estienne, 1539-1544. 24 parts in 2 volumes in-4. Calf, ribbed spine decorated with azure irons, red edges. Bindings worn, hinges open, corners dulled, small tears, particularly at the top of the first volume. Light spotting on some pages. Apart from the defects mentioned, a very fine and complete copy of this extremely rare Hebrew Bible printed by Robert Estienne. Printed between 1539 and 1544, it was divided into different parts, each with its own title and pagination. These parts were either sold together or separately, which explains why some copies are incomplete and the order in which they are bound may vary. This edition was sumptuously printed using typefaces from various Parisian fonts, notably those of Jean Arnould. It earned Robert Estienne the appointment by François I as the king's printer of Hebrew and Latin letters. Keywords: judaica, jew, jewish, hebrew, rabbis, jewish, torah, hebrew, hebraica, judaism, synagogue, zionism, pessah, pessach, haggada, haggadah, hagada, hagadah, passover, menora, menorah, hannuka, hannuca, hannucca, hanouccah, torah, juden, israélite, Israël, antisemitism, antisémitisme, dreyfus, meguila, sepharade, sefarad, ketouba
