Jean COCTEAU (1889-1963) L.A.S. with drawing, Christmas 1955; 1page in-4 (27 x 21 cm). About his cardiologist Dr. Pierre Soulié. "How sad childhood holidays are when childhood is no longer there. My dear Clergue, I'm in the (excellent) hands of Dr. Soulié (Soulié de Noël), who wants to send me to a mountain of snow. I'll know the dates in the first few days of January and I'll let you know. My only fear is to make a polite sign in a vacuum. Paris has killed me. Between us, I prefer a wild beast to a hundred thousand fleas"... Black pencil drawing of an eye and a Christmas tree. CCC p. 15 and reproduction (Documents). Lots 24 to 68 are sold on provisional with possibility of reunion
