[MEN'S MAGAZINE]. Adam. La Revue de l'homme. Paris: Dubois, 1925-1966. - 39 volumes in-4. Six in period half-basane and 33 in modern imitation half-chagrin, both dark blue, smooth spines, boards illustrated with the color covers of the volume's issues for the modern bindings (Ateliers Laurenchet, then At-Boichot). Almost complete collection of this important men's fashion magazine, published from December 1925 to June 1966. Today, this magazine is almost impossible to put together in its entirety. This copy includes all 312 issues, but the first 19 are in facsimile, presented in a book-box with the same decor as the bound volumes. Founded by Edmond Dubois (Lausanne, 1899-Paris, 1977), Adam, subtitled Revue des modes masculines, appeared for the first time on December 15, 1925. A few months later, in the double issue of July-August 1926, the magazine adopted a new subtitle: La Revue de l'homme. Adam called on the services of a number of illustrators for both his covers and interior vignettes. In July 1966, the magazine became Le Nouvel Adam, directed by Claude Perdriel, with Guy Sitbon as editor-in-chief. A very fine copy.
