In black cloth, with a decorative tab fastening, crimson velvet collar and facings edged with a wolf's tooth frieze in gold canetille. Collar embroidered with acanthus leaves surmounted by a fillet. En suite embroidered shoulder straps on ground cloth. Half-spherical gold buttons with caduceus. Caduceus embroidered retroussis motifs in laurel branches. Quilted ivory cloth interior, lined with velvet at the collar and brown leather at the waist. Basque pockets, one with the owner's batiste handkerchief monogrammed "A P" in red cotton thread. A.B.E.
