Curved blade with hollow sides and gutter, flat-back engraved "A Chassepot Entrepeur à Châtellerault". Sheet metal scabbard with two bracelets. With an officer's lanyard with black thread cord and gold-trimmed tassel. B.E. Second Empire period.
